Solarpack and the “Superación de la pobreza” Foundation inaugurate the cyber community in La Tirana, Chile

This action is part of the community project called "Community Energy for inclusive local development", developed by Solarpack and “Superación de la Pobreza - SERVICIO PAÍS” Foundation

Solarpack and the “Superación de la pobreza” Foundation have inaugurated the common space for information and training services with permanent access to internet (community cyber) with the objective of bringing ICTs closer to the residents of the neighbourhood of of Santa Emilia de La Tirana. In addition, a second delivery of sewing machines was handed to the association "Mujeres a tu medida" so that they can accelerate their business.

This action is part of the community project called "Community Energy for inclusive local development", developed by Solarpack and “Superación de la Pobreza - SERVICIO PAÍS” Foundation, with the aim of strengthening the capacities of the neighbours of La Tirana, helping them to overcome the digital gap and thus improving their quality of life.

For Lucía Silva, regional director of the Foundation, this initiative will have a positive impact on the entire area of Santa Emilia of La Tirana, as it provides its inhabitants with an important space equipped with technological tools and promotes collaborative work within the community.

Antonio Gonzalez, Solarpack's maintenance manager, said "we are proud to support this neighbouring community to some of the company’s photovoltaic solar plants , and we hope to continue accompanying them with new activities aimed at expanding knowledge on issues related to solar energy".

Hugo Estica, director of Community Development of Pozo Almonte, expressed his gratitude to the directors of the Neighbourhood Nº 35 for implementing these initiatives and improving the quality of life of their neighbours, remembering the previous president of the Neighbourhood Council, Luis González Ruz, who initiated this project and who sadly passed away a few months ago.
