By Solarpack

Solarpack has been granted the Emerging Entrepreneur prize issued by the consultancy EY.

José Galíndez and Pablo Burgos, Solarpack’s President and CEO, respectively, picked up this prestigious award at EY’s 21st Entrepreneur of the Year awards in Spain. The event was attended by the Minister of Finance and Public Administrations, Cristóbal Montoro, the Minister of the Interior, Juan Ignacio Zoido, and more than 300 representatives from the country’s business world.

In his speech, Cristóbal Montoro noted that “Spain is today a nation of entrepreneurs, and what sets us apart is that our businesses are increasingly international. Evidence of this is that 40% of our GDP is being invested overseas, and the future looks promising.”

Picking up the Emerging Entrepreneur award, Solarpack President José Galíndez pointed out in his speech that “this prize belongs to all of Solarpack’s staff and partners,” and he thanked them for “the effort that the process of internationalization means for them and their families.”

José Luis Perelli, President of EY in Spain, opened and closed the ceremony. Meanwhile José Luis Ruiz Expósito, EY Partner and head of the Entrepreneur of the Year awards in Spain, highlighted the need to continue supporting entrepreneurship in the country in order to deliver growth and employment.

The 21st edition of the Entrepreneur of the Year awards, which EY celebrates with sponsorship from BNP Paribas and in partnership with IESE, took place on March 2 in the Real Fábrica de Tapices de Madrid.
