The Pozo Almonte Solar 3 company, which manages one of the largest photovoltaic plants in Chile, has signed an agreement with Enseña Chile to support a School Leadership Assessment across three establishments in the Tarapacá Region.

The project allows management teams to access learning communities via the web, developing leadership abilities and evidence-based decision making.

The agreement was signed in Pozo Almonte between Paulina Olguín, director of the northern zone, representing Enseña Chile, Paula Olivares, director (s) of the education department of Cormudespa and Francisco Méndez, Solarpack’s Country Manager, on behalf of Pozo Almonte Solar 3. The project will be implemented in the Escuela Básica Estrella del Sur, Escuela Básica Pozo Almonte and Liceo Alcalde Sergio González Gutiérrez schools. July saw the start of hybrid meetings to go through presentation phases, diagnostic surveys and the collection of other key data from the establishments.

"We are very pleased to be signing this agreement with Pozo Almonte Solar 3 and Cormudespa, thanks to which we will be working with three schools in the commune. This project seeks to provide new tools to the management teams that will be working in joint sessions. As a team we are happy to have this alliance to be able to continue having an impact in the northern zone and contribute to the education of the children of Pozo Almonte", says Paulina Olguín, director of Zona Norte.

"This agreement with Enseña Chile is aligned with the objectives of Pozo Almonte Solar 3 to create a positive impact in the communities where it develops its projects and make a contribution to the social development of the areas where we are developing activities", says Francisco Méndez, who represented the company at the signing.

On the other hand, Paula Olivares, director (s) of the education department of the Municipal Corporation of Social Development of Pozo Almonte, highlighted the importance of this alliance to enhance the development of the management teams in the area. "Enseña Chile will allow us to work on educational leadership in all our schools. This will allow us to strengthen the second indicator that is most important for the development of skills and teaching in students. We are very happy and hope it will be a fruitful alliance", she commented.
