This pioneering alliance between Solarpack and Colegio Santo Domingo Savio epitomizes the three pillars - Energy, Education, and Employment—the three Es of Solarpack's impactful social initiatives.

In a transformative endeavor to bolster technical vocational education in the Tarapacá Region, Solarpack, a frontrunner in renewable energy, and Colegio Santo Domingo Savio, a leading educational institution, proudly announce the triumphant conclusion of their unprecedented collaboration's sponsorship project. This initiative, which commenced in 2018, stands at the heart of Solarpack's commitment to nurturing local talent and fostering sustainable educational growth.

The sponsorship project, aimed at students specializing in electricity, bears the name "Together we train medium-level technicians in Electricity with competencies in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic solar systems." It has proven to be a resounding success, impacting both students and educators.

The overarching goal of this dynamic project, initiated in 2022 and culminating successfully in 2023, has been to forge tangible collaborations between Solarpack and the school. These collaborations are meticulously designed to enrich and fortify students' learning experiences concerning the maintenance and installation of photovoltaic solar systems, within a genuine working environment.

Throughout the initiative, students and teachers underwent comprehensive training on "On-Grid and Off-Grid Photovoltaic Systems." Notably, students achieved certification as "Class D electrical installers." Complementing these achievements, Solarpack's support led to the expansion and enhancement of the solar photovoltaic didactic laboratory, significantly benefiting the students' educational journey.

In a parallel effort to empower educators, Solarpack extended training scholarships for specialization in "Solar Photovoltaic Pumping" and "Solar Electrical Procedures TE1 and TE4." This strategic investment in the teachers' skills aims to enable them to share and replicate these newfound insights with their colleagues in electricity and industrial mechanics, fostering the groundwork for future interdisciplinary projects in solar energy.

A pivotal moment in deepening technical and practical knowledge was the visit by students and teachers to the solar plants in Pozo Almonte. This immersive experience not only provided a firsthand understanding of the plant's operations but also acquainted students with the intricacies of solar installations, emphasizing crucial safety measures and the paramount importance of unconventional renewable energies in today's landscape.

Internships, a cornerstone of this pedagogical initiative, were instrumental in providing students with their inaugural real-world work experience. Graduates from the class of 2022 completed their professional internships, obtaining the coveted title of Medium-Level Technician in the specialty of electricity in 2023. Simultaneously, the students graduating in 2023 from the fourth year of high school are actively immersed in their professional internships at Solarpack's state-of-the-art facilities in the region.

In recognition of the students' outstanding competencies and achievements, Solarpack bestowed the "Solarpack Scholarship for Continuing Higher Education" upon three deserving students, covering the entire cost of their tuition and fees.

This multifaceted initiative not only equips students with indispensable tools for their future employability but also contributes significantly to the cultivation of a skilled and qualified human resource—a dire necessity in the region and the nation at large. Noteworthy achievements in 2023 underscore Solarpack's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with three female students participating in internships for the first time. Additionally, as part of an integration project, a student with a motor disability demonstrated exemplary performance during his professional internship at one of Solarpack's plants.

This pioneering alliance between Solarpack and Colegio Santo Domingo Savio epitomizes the three pillars - Energy, Education, and Employment—the three Es of Solarpack's impactful social initiatives. Recognizing its unwavering dedication, the project received the prestigious 2023 Sustainability Award from Environmental Finance in the Community Development Program category. This accolade underscores Solarpack's standing among leading companies across diverse sectors, transforming their business practices to pave the way for a future with net-zero emissions. Undoubtedly, this initiative serves as a testament to Solarpack's steadfast commitment to the sustainable development of the communities in which it operates, making a profound and positive contribution toward a better and more sustainable planet for all.
